Job Description
We are looking for skilled, empathetic musicians to provide live, acoustic music for hospice patients in homes, nursing facilities, and assisted living centers. Performances are one-on-one, offering personalized comfort and serenity at the bedside.
Responsibilities
- Perform live, calming music for hospice patients in various settings
- Travel to patient locations as scheduled
- Tailor music selection to patient needs, preferences, and cultural background
- Collaborate respectfully with families and hospice team members
- Maintain professional conduct, confidentiality, and sensitivity at all times
Qualifications
- Proficiency with a musical instrument (guitar or keyboard) or vocal performance
- Strong emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills
- Reliable transportation (mileage reimbursed)
- Comfortable in end-of-life care settings
- Must pass background check and TB screening (can be provided)
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in healthcare, hospice, or therapeutic music is preferred, not required
- Training in music therapy is a plus
- Multilingual abilities are highly valued
